Die laatste stelt onder meer dat de encycliek ‘Humanae vitae’ van paus Paulus VI uit 1968 dusdanige negatieve gevolgen heeft gehad dat er dringend nood is aan een nieuw leerstellig document, dat een nieuwe visie op huwelijk en seksualiteit mogelijk zou moeten maken. Daarom heeft een christen er niets te zoeken, ook niet als Gay Pride in het teken van religie staat. Religieuze organisaties zijn dit jaar van harte uitgenodigd om deel te nemen aan de Amsterdamse Gay Pride, het homofeest, van 28 juli tot 3 augustus in Amsterdam. Ook aan de Canal Parade, de bekende grachtenparade met mensen in extravagante uitdossing, mogen deze religieuze organisaties meedoen.
